Who does Senator Jerry Moran Represent!?

By Allen Williams

Who is this guy representing? Somebody else.. or does he just like to hear himself talk about unrelated issues?  It's clear that he either hasn't read or doesn't believe the 2020 election was stolen.  I wrote him about that very subject and documented my findings and this is the bullshit response I got.

Dear Mr. Williams:

As inflation rates continue to climb, burdening American families with higher prices at the gas station and grocery store, Congress should be focused on an enduring solution to rein in federal spending, not passing short-term proposals that kick the problem down the road.  {That's why elections have consequences and fraudulent elections have catastrophic consequences]

I voted against the Democrats’ legislation to raise the debt limit which would only facilitate their partisan, out-of-control spending measures. [They still passed it anyway and then taxpayer's will be on the hook for everything]

Our country cannot afford to foot the bill for excessive spending measures that threaten to fuel inflation and weaken the buying power of American families. {Why not? you don't seem to care that illegals have overrun the border and are busy re-colonizing the country.]

Increasing the debt limit while Democrats plan to recklessly spend multiple trillions of dollars diminishes the financial security of Americans,  and I will continue to use my voice and vote to promote the critical need for financial responsibility in Congress.  [Why haven't you flatly refused to raise the debt ceiling?]

I am grateful for the opportunity Kansans have given me to serve them in the United States Senate. If you are interested in learning more about my efforts on your behalf, [And what might those be? You can't even manage to stay on topic!]

I encourage you to visit moran.senate.gov. Please let me know if I can be of service to you or your family in the future

[You could retire because you don't represent anybody that put you in office.]

Very truly yours,
Jerry Moran

Ford Attorneys To Be Investigated for Betraying Client To Help Dems: Report

by Bryan Chai

Few things are sweeter than watching a Democratic plot blow up spectacularly in their faces.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve undoubtedly heard about the sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, has been thrust into the public spotlight as a result.

Look, the entire thing is murky.

There is a startling lack of evidence, especially considering the assault allegedly took place over 30 years ago, so it’s unfair to paint Kavanaugh in a negative light. Not that that’s stopped far-left Democrats from trying to do so.

But by that same token, Ford, and all sexual assault victims, should still be given an opportunity to be heard. Sexual assault is never okay, and any allegation is worth looking at.

So let’s pump the brakes on presuming innocence or guilt, and refrain from attacking either Ford or Kavanaugh until due process plays out.

You know who does deserve to be attacked? The Democrats who have weaponized an alleged sexual assault victim’s apparent trauma to attack a Supreme Court nominee whose only sin seems to be that he was nominated by President Donald Trump.

It’s disgusting, reprehensible and deserves to be looked into.

That’s exactly what’s going to happen, according to Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton. Appearing on CBS’ “Face The Nation” on Sunday, Cotton reamed Democrats for failing to uphold the confidentiality that Ford had requested when she first made her allegations against Kavanaugh.

“They have betrayed her,” Cotton said. “She has been victimized by Democrats … on a search-and-destroy mission for Brett Kavanaugh.”

Regardless of the veracity of Ford’s accusations, it’s inarguable that Democrats have opted to use her plight in an attempt to take down Kavanaugh. One of the tactics that Democrats have been accused of is supplying Ford with lawyers who were looking to serve the Democratic Party before their own client.

Mitchell: Were you even told that the Senate Judiciary Committee offered to fly out to your home to meet you?

Remember how the Kavanaugh hearing was initially delayed because Ford didn’t want to fly from California to Washington? Republican Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley apparently made it crystal clear that the GOP was willing to bring the hearing to her in California.

Did Ford’s lawyers, supplied by Democrats, intentionally not tell her that important bit of information to drag the process into the mid-terms? I’m not saying they did, but if it smells like a duck and looks like a duck, it’s not an iguana.

Cotton wasn’t about to let that type of behavior fly, however.

“(Democratic leadership) pointed her to lawyers who lied to her and did not tell her that the committee staff was willing to go to California to interview her,” Cotton said on “Face The Nation.”

Cotton then dropped some bad news on those lawyers.

“Those lawyers are going to face a D.C. bar investigation into their misconduct,” Cotton said. Ouch.

They should absolutely be investigated if they misled their client in any way, shape or form to help out the Democrats’ attempts to derail the Kavanaugh investigation. That is antithetical to everything the American justice system stands for.

Everything the Democrats have done to stop Kavanaugh from being nominated has had zero repercussions. That may be about to change in massive fashion.

And it couldn’t have happened to a nicer bunch of people.

Owner Who Banned Muslims From Gun Range Now Running for Governor

by Martin Walsh

A conservative woman who banned Muslims from her gun range has announced plans to throw her hat int the political ring.

Jan Morgan, owner of the Gun Cave Indoor Firing Range in Hot Springs, announced on Dec. 31 that she will be running for governor of Arkansas.  Morgan will be challenging incumbent Asa Hutchinson in the Republican primary in 2018.

Hutchinson was elected in 2014.

Morgan has been very critical of Hutchinson, saying the governor “campaigns like a conservative Republican but governs like a liberal Democrat,” according to the Texarkana Gazette.  Prior to announcing a run for governor, Morgan made headlines in 2014 when she had a direct message for radical Islamic extremists, and banned Muslims from her firing range, as Fox News reported at the time. “ I refuse to train the next Islamic terrorist,” Morgan wrote on her site JanMorganMedia, explaining her decision.

Citing safety concerns, Morgan said that the religion of Islam represents and promotes a “theocracy, terrorist organization, not a religion.”  Naturally, the story drew major attention, including a lengthy (and reasonably fair) interview in The Washington Post.

According to The Arkansas Times, Morgan has been a stalwart for the Second Amendment and will likely make that a top issue for her campaign. Morgan said she plans to hold an event toward the end of the month to speak with voters and discuss the issues they care deeply about.  If elected, Morgan would become the first female governor of Arkansas.  While Morgan would be an ardent advocate for several conservative issues, her candidacy would make her a lightning rod in national politics.

It’s unclear how Morgan will fare against Hutchinson, but one could certainly assume it’s going to be an interesting, and possibly raucous Republican primary.

Get ready for fireworks, Arkansas.

The End of Bretton Woods

by Peter Coyne

Please, no more of this 'Nixon took us off of the gold standard' garbage!" writes one reader in response to yesterday's reckoning. If you missed it, we learned about two precursors to our present monetary woes in that episode:

First, we learned from our founder, Addison Wiggin, that 70 years ago, during the Bretton Woods Conference at the end of World War II, the world left the gold standard. The United States, being the world's undisputed hegemon, was able to snag a role as the world's reserve currency -- the most widely held and used currency. To maintain trust in the greenback, foreign nations would be able to trade $35 for an ounce of U.S. gold upon request.

Second, in our first featured video -- an interview we conducted with Mr. Lewis Lehrman last year -- we learned that the U.S. abused this privilege by running massive trade deficits. That is, by spending more money that it had to buy more than it produced. Finally, instead of worrying about balancing the books, President Nixon decided 43 years ago this Friday to remove the one hurdle to unlimited government spending -- convertability of the dollar into gold.

That brings us back to our dear reader. "FDR was the one who removed us from the gold standard when he issued an illegal executive order that prohibited citizens from owning gold":

QuotesHe ordered them to turn in gold, and made it impossible for any American to convert gold notes to actual gold. Nixon in fact made gold ownership legal again by ending FDR's prohibition, and protected America's gold stores, (whatever we had then), from being taken by the British, etc., by doing as this writer describes.

"If someone wants to point a finger, point it at FDR, who took us off gold, and at LBJ, who removed silver from our coinage, both unconstitutional and illegal moves that Congress went along with.
Quotes

We have no qualms over your history. Our point, however, is that the global monetary system shifted on Sunday, Aug. 15, 1971. Since then, the dollar's value has been an enigma.

What is a dollar?

It's just a claim to another dollar… or four quarters… or 10 dimes. You have to pay taxes with it, so most people use them. But it has no intrinsic value.

We're reminded of the C-SPAN clip featured in Addison's documentary I.O.U.S.A. It was between Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan and our former employer, Congressman Ron Paul. Greenspan agreed that no one really knows what money is today, and therefore, there was no way the Fed could hope to ever manage it:

Alan Greenspan: As I've said earlier, the difficulty is defining what money truly is. We have been unable to define a monetary aggregate that will give us a reliable forecast for the economy. Until we find a reliable "M" we will go light on the use of monetary aggregates for monetary policy purposes.

Ron Paul: So it's hard to manage something you can't define.

Alan Greenspan: It's impossible to manage something you cannot define…

Our theme this week, the "End of Bretton Woods," was Dr. Paul's impetus for running for Congress in the first place. "I saw 1971 as the conversion from a token commodity money,  to an absolute political money."

We can tell you from working for the good doctor that he had no delusions about the mission he was on. Dr. Paul was under no impression that he alone could reverse the ship of state's course toward monetary collapse.

In the final years of his congressional tenure, he was even able to claim a small leadership position over the Financial Services Subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology. That's one of the subcommittees that oversaw the Federal Reserve's decisions.

Politics, Dr. Paul notes, is, at best, a tool for education.

Yet , one congressman can hardly alter the political situation. Politics, Dr. Paul notes, is, at best, a tool for education. Part of this week's theme is education, for sure. Understanding the ways that your elected representatives have altered the money at your expense for political reasons is the first step to realizing it can happen again.

It's important to keep in mind, however, that the likely solution is not a political one.
