Isn’t it odd, if the Bible was true, that the greatest nation on earth is never mentioned in the bible. Why
would anyone expect these two great nations to be referenced in modern terms? To identify these people we must look to Abraham, the father of
many nations.
Gen 17:4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
Gen 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name
shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
Gen 17:6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
Gen 17:7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy
seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a
God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
Gen 17:8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the
land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an
everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
To answer the question we need to
investigate the descendants of Abraham. God promised to greatly bless
the seed of Abraham and promised great material wealth and military
might. In Genesis 22 we find the promise that the sons of Joseph would
possess the ‘gates of their enemies.’.
“That in blessing I will bless thee,
and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven,
and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies” – Gen 22:17
Abraham’s blessing flowed down through Jacob to Joseph’s two sons in Egypt in a familiar blessing:
“And Joseph said unto his father,
Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon
his head. 48:19 And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I
know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but
truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall
become a multitude of nations. “
The multitude includes
Australia, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa.
The Blessing..
Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine: - Gen_27:28
We need only look to a popular 19th century writing that states "..purple mountain majesty and amber waves of grain" to see the realization of that blessing.

Deu 33: v14,v15.v16.v17 “And of Joseph
he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of
heaven,for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,
And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,
And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious
things of the lasting hills, And for the precious things of the earth
and fullness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the
bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top
of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.
His
glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the
horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the
ends of the earth: and they are
the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are
the thousands of Manasseh. “
No question that America has been blessed
with great material wealth and the first Stanza of the Marine anthem
supports America’s military capability.
Lordship over thy brethren..
“Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee. – GENESIS 27:29
There is no question as to the
identities of America and Britain but both have turned away and
were deceived into believing there is no God. We are now reaping punishment
for our arrogance and disobedience.
The only remedy to preventing our destruction is II Chronicles 7:14.
